The Mandee Crawford

This is the first true digital painting that I have ever done. ...coloring other peoples comic pieces do not count... This piece marks a change in my art ability. I learned more about texture mapping through this non-3D piece than I have in a LOOOOOOOOOONG time. Id say this piece was a total of somewhere between 15-20 hours worth of work... Ive been working on it between renders, so I lost track of the time after 9 hours.

3D artists, never forget about the traditional skills that you learned along the way. Most people have no idea that we are 2D artists FIRST so dont let your skillz get rusty.

Special thanks to my wonderful friend Mandee for putting up with seeing this piece for the last few weeks and letting me draw your beautiful face... and yea you do remind me of Cindy...
